Polly Politicks

I haven't gotten very political yet here.... mainly because I was taught the church of "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" i tend to hold my tongue when it gets heated and political. I saw this on NYMag.com (my most favoritest website ever!)

I seriously don't understand why gay people can't get married these days. Its freakin 2009! It's almost 2010! When are the flying cars coming? We can buy $1000 shoes through our cell phones. We can teleconference through any country (thanks skype!). We've been to space! Mankind has accomplished so many things and yet the simple fact that two guys can't get married. Why is this even an issue. Two consenting adults want to get married. What's the big deal? So what if they are of the same sex. This is craziness. It's not like they are hurting anyone. Like the shirt says, we all pay taxes we should all have equal rights. I know people would argue that the bible is what constitutes marriage between a man and a woman. But guess what?! That is why we are a country built on the separation of church and state.
There is my political rant.... I will talk about more uplifting things later!

In case you didn't know...

There is a guy who dresses up as a panda bear and hangs out down on Wall Street. Actually to be more specific he hangs out at the bull. You know.. that huge Bull statue that represents Money! Stocks! and glory be!

He is affectionately known as the Sad Panda. (Not the Bull).
Apparently his mannerism are sad and he doesn't talk. As you can see by the picture below.

As the unofficial Wall Street mascot, it seems that these past few days... SAD PANDA IS MISSING! Where did he go? Did he retire the costume for the crazy hot humid summer days? Is he gone forever?

If someone sees him please let me know!

Tapas Battles

Hello!
I feel like 90% of the world thus far is blogging about something. I figured I would start with my two loves. Food and Fashion and then everything in between.
So lets start with the first...
Rob and I went to dinner w/ his friend and her boyfriend and we went to Pamplona on 28th and Park. Dinner consisted of 4 small tapas plates, gazpacho, paella, and dessert and I'm still hungry!
That's the problem with tapas.. you have to divide and conquer. Ration out portions and conserve the good stuff and eagle eye the leftovers. AND you have to be polite and offer it up to everyone first in hopes they see you still salivating and give you dibs.
